About Pamela Haining

Pamela Haining is a Printmaker and Pattern Designer

Block print patterns designed using traditional linocut techniques and inspired by the simple joy of food, nature and celebrating the everyday.

Pamela Haining is a British, self-taught Printmaker & Pattern Designer based in East Lothian, U.K. With its beautiful coastline, vast countryside and plentiful produce, Pamela’s designs are strongly influenced and inspired by her local environmental, seasonal produce and defining British seasons. Food and nature are the main themes that run throughout Pamela’s designs, closely mirroring her surroundings and experiences and are the main inspiration for many of her block print designs and patterns.

After many years working professionally in a corporate environment, Pamela had an opportunity to change direction. Using her creativity and love of patterns, Pamela started her eponymous label to create her own range of designs for home and kitchenware. Pamela retrained as a Printmaker in 2019 and specialises in relief printing and pattern design. She uses traditional linocut block printing techniques to create unique, textured patterns featuring clean lines and simple motifs.
